Math in the Real World

We are launching a pilot workshop/competition to teach students aged ~14 and up how to apply mathematics in real world problems in science, engineering, business, medicine, and many other areas of life. 

In this pilot event we will introduce enough of the advanced mathematical "tools" necessary to design a solar-energy system for harvesting the sun's electromagnetic energy, and releasing it in a controlled manner as electrical energy. We will build the system and implement it in toy cars in a competitive endurance race.
